I’ve been told so many times to act my age, that it’s not even funny anymore. “Act your age”, “don’t try to grow up too fast, you’re just a kid”, I wonder if they’ve ever thought how hard it is to be inside a head that grew up long before it’s age got a chance to cope? I absolutely fucking hate when people think they can judge you or say something to you before they know you. I understand that sometimes people just care about their own friends but others have feelings too you know?

– it’s not that easy when you grow up before your age.
Part of maturing is absorbing life and learning from it…then you can let it roll off your back. It’s easier said but it’s harder than you think.

I think it’s easier than that but a gradual process. Sometimes you see more that entitled to at a tender age. You learn more than you can handle. It’s hard to live with that.

Yeah, and that’s what I get for it. “Act your age”
See what I mean? But thank you so much.

I tell my on the way to be 16 year old little sister the same thing, “act your age.” I say it because when she turns 23 [random age] she will wish things were like 16 again and guess she cannot go back in time. Most times it is all in love, however if it comes from someone you do not know, I can imagine how frustrating and angry you feel.

I do understand the concerns from people and about missing childhood. But you can’t force someone who’s mentally 20 or something to be acting 14. It absolutely gets on my nerves.

I do understand, just make sure you enjoy your teens years even if you feel mentally older.
