So I’m currently in pattaya, Thailand, for a much needed break from life. I believe one if the first thoughts I had as we landed was the fact that I am no longer home and how happy I was about that. It’s strange. I love the people back in India but if given the choice, I’d leave them in a minute.
We went shooting on the first day here after a really long drive from bangkok to Pattaya, and I must say, it isn’t as easy as it looks. When firing bullets, you deal with (a) a deafening sound and (b) the rebound of the gun that pushes you back. Nevertheless I felt so cool while doing it, like some extreme power was in my hands and I had control of it. Following this, we met a lion, I don’t know why but I genuinely wanted to. It was a beautiful lioness who was completely harmless and remained me of my dog back at home. With those innocent eyes and always ready for love look, I wished I could pet her forever.
Next on the bucket list was a cabaret show, and what better than the infamous Alcazar show. Now though this show is so famous for it’s beautiful sets and opulence, it stands out for the beautiful transgender women and men that star in it, and may I just add, I have not seen more beautiful women than them in general.
And how can I forget, the reason why hundreds visit Pattaya every year: Red light district. Now if you don’t know what that is, it’s basically a lane; a street if you will. And that lane has nothing but bars outside whom are about five to ten prostitutes, pole dancers, strippers etc. Might I just add, it is slightly scary to be there, it’s not dangerous but those women can be intimidating to look at. But hey! “One night in Bangkok and the world’s your oyster, The bars are temples but the pearls ain’t free. You’ll find a God in every golden cloister, And if you’re lucky then the God’s a she. I can feel an angel sliding up to me”, boy did Murray head know what he was talking about.
Pattaya beach, Jomtein beach or any other random bitch, truth is, they all happen to be magnificent. From the native Thai women’s beautiful straight hair to the sea breeze that blows over the entire city. It’s fascinating to see the difference in the sea during high tide and low tide, specially since all beaches are so full of people even at one in the morning and it doesn’t make one feel the least bit conscious, threatened or in any kind of danger, quite unlike the situations of certain areas in India. Their massages are to die for, one can actually feel the stress rising out their bodies, and if like me it’s the first time you’re getting a proper massage then let me pre-warn you; yes they will make you strip, yes all you’ll be wearing will be an underwear, and oh dear lord, it’s gonna be next to impossible to control your laughter at all those ticklish spots.
Coming to one of the most important aspects, the food. Thai food….and this isn’t exaggerated…. Is shit spicy. Also mega delicious. When it comes to cuisines, I always stick to the locals, the small shacks and the amazing street food because well, that’s where you can taste it in it’s truest form.
Anyway, I believe it’s time to try para-gliding,
Hope to keep you guys updated!
Here’s to new experiences and crazy adventure!
