India’s daughter

In utter chaos, between missiles and airstrikes; refugees and war; drugs and abuse; danger and darkness.
There lay a hospital in a small city of India. Clean white tiles and the smell of hygiene reeked from the newly built four walls.
Overwhelmed by tears, friends and family rejoiced around the little ball of beauty that just entered their lives.
Up above, beyond the skies; a guardian angle smiled and embarked upon penning down the journey this new life would encounter.
Opening her small eyes, she sensed neither fear nor hesitation. Daughters were no longer a bane in a country consumed by it’s culture. After all, it was the goddesses that were always worshipped.
Far away, in a land called Bharat,
A miracle was born.
A daughter was born.
